Jonathan Toews and Auston Matthews are two of the top talents in the NHL and have skills which make even other great hockey players look like amateurs. In this case, the duo makes a simple game of “Call Your Shot” look ridiculous as they make hitting lights, cameras and food look easy even from long distance.
The gimmick that the crew has no idea what Toews and Matthews are doing is pretty silly and corny, but put that aside and watch the duo make some crazy shots.
We’d have to give Toews the win in this little contest as he nails most of his attempts with the first shot. Matthews has some great shots too, but Toews’ accuracy is just remarkable. It’s fun seeing Toews show off another side of his Mr. Serious personality.
Also, can we point out how adorable it is that Matthews is so formal with Toews? He respectfully calls him Jonathan even while the two are shooting pucks at vegetables and a chocolate fountain.
This was a really fun idea and it’d be great to see other NHL stars competing in these types of games in the future.
