Sidney Crosby is out with a concussion

[link_box id=”22277″ site_id=”17″ layout=”link-box-third” alignment=”alignright”]The Stanley Cup champions might be without their best player for a few games. Sidney Crosby suffered a concussion in practice on Friday and his return date is up in the air.

Well how’s that for intrigue? That could mean anything. Though it probably means that the Penguins feel they’ve told us too much already by not announcing this as an “upper body injury”.

But with Crosby’s concussion history, the fear was that it wasn’t much that caused Sidney to have concussion symptoms, even though Crosby’s missed most of his time four to five seasons ago. The Penguins are still loaded and talented and fast. Probably talented and fast enough to get through a few games without their captain and the Conn Smythe Trophy winner. But anything more than that will obviously be big trouble.
