Bruce Boudreau’s move from Anaheim to Minnesota wasn’t a happy one.
Boudreau discussed moving with Michael Russo of the Star Tribune and detailed how a simple life change turned into a disastrous affair. According to Boudreau, one of three moving trucks flipped during the move, destroying everything inside it.
“Crystal’s losing it because one-third of two houses is gone,” Boudreau told Michael Russo of The Star Tribune. “We’re basically getting half-broken furniture. We lost five big-screen TVs, a bubble hockey game, popcorn makers, tables. My wife used to run a business, they called her the Chocolate Lady. The chocolate fountain was destroyed. So much stuff, pictures, lots of pictures, all the frames destroyed.”
Suspiciously, a safe holding many precious items to Boudreau including trophies, a Rolex and rare Spiderman comics were destroyed. But, Boudreau says video shows two people moving the safe into a different truck altogether. Minnesota’s coach wants justice for the alleged crime.
“I’ve never been sort of violated like this. I just want them arrested because I know they did it. I don’t think it was a planned robbery or anything, but they took advantage of the situation. But they didn’t count on there being video.”
As an avid comic book collector myself, I can’t imagine the feeling of losing multiple rare issues. That’s obviously not as important as the family’s total belongings.
If there was criminal activity with Boudreau’s move, hopefully those who committed the crimes are brought to justice. An investigation is currently ongoing.
