Phil Kessel just eviscerated USA hockey in one tweet

As Team USA fell to Team Canada 4-2 in the World Cup of Hockey, thus eliminating them from moving onto the next roung, many US hockey fans are left scratching their heads wondering what could have been. The team and the tournament was basically set up for them to advance to at least the semifinals. They are left with a lot of questions and not many answers. The one person that may have answers? Phil Kessel.

Kessel, who just came off of a great playoff performance that ended with a Stanley Cup seems like the type of player that would be named to USA’s World Cup of Hockey roster. Alas, that wasn’t the case as they chose to go for heart and grit over anything else. Kessel knows exactly should have been selected to the team.

The shade thrown in this tweet is so strong, that I am not sure if Twitter should go on after this. Shut it all down.

People are obviously loving the tweet and are piling on.

The lovable Kessel isn’t know for these types of antics making the tweet all the sweeter. Now Team USA could be looking at wholesale changes from the top, down and Kessel is getting one of the last pot shots in. Where exactly do they go from here?
