Minnesota Wild inform the New Orleans Saints that the NHL still has Harambe jerseys

The constant news around Harambe, the slain ape from the Cincinnati Zoo, has to be one of the oddest stories of 2016. Even on the NHL front, he was making a name for himself by being on a t-shirt worn by Calgary Flames prospect Matthew Tkachuk. The NFL recently put a ban on getting jerseys with the primates name on it and disappointed more than a few people.

Thankfully, the story is different in the NHL and the Minnesota Wild were quick to point out that fact.

The NFL has always been known as the “no-fun league” and this just takes it to a completely new level. Conflicting reports about the name have been circulating around. Luckily, the NHL’s Minnesota Wild responded to the Saints to let them know they got the Harambe jerseys covered.

First off, a $360 price tag? Who is paying for that anyway? Imagine spending that kind of money on an internet joke. That would be taking it a little bit too far, no? Regardless, if you truly love Harambe so much that you want a jersey, the NHL has got your back. Now if only someone had Harambe’s… RIP.
