Dallas Star forward Antoine Roussel might be a pest on the ice, but off of the ice he seems like a pretty great dude. Recently he surprised a young fan by showing up at his birthday party to play some broom hockey.

A Stars fan named Tommy wrote to Roussel asking if he’d appear at his birthday party and play some broom hockey. With the help of the Stars Foundation, Roussel showed up at the event and surprised the kids by playing some broom hockey and spending some quality time with them. It’s a sweet gesture.
Roussel seemed to enjoy himself, admitting he wished he could have stayed longer. But, I’m sure he gave those kids a day they’ll never forget.
