Kris Letang gets one-game suspension for high hit on Marcus Johansson

Yesterday, we took a quick look at Kris Letang’s “dangerous” hit on Marcus Johansson.

I don’t think it was intentional by any means, but it is one of those hits that needs to be removed from the game. It is dangerous and really serves no purpose in hockey.

It is definitely not a head shot but it did have some intent to injure.

Here is the explanation of the suspension:

The long and the short of it, is that Letang hit him late and made enough contact to his head to warrant the suspension.

The hits in this series have been borderline throughout. They need to lay down the law on these type of hits to have a cleaner, more exciting series.
