Out of all of the playoff series happening, the most cordial of the bunch seems to be the Penguins and Rangers. The tenor of the series may have just changed with Kris Letang’s slash on Viktor Stalberg in Game 3.
When watching it in real time it doesn’t seem too bad. The replay shows a completely different story. Letang takes a second and makes the decision to follow through with this dirty play.
Somehow, Letang didn’t even get a phone call for this from the NHL. Apparently, if you make a throat slash gesture it warrants more of a penalty than an actual slash at someone’s throat.
