The rumor mill up in Montreal has to be one of the strongest in the league. Constantly you hear disparaging remarks about certain players and how the team is dealing with fighting within the locker room. P.K. Subban wanted to prove to the media just how much he cared about his captain Max Pacioretty before they all went away for the summer.
This is the quote that prompted the hug:
"What do I have to do? Go over there and make out with him?" – Subban on his relationship with Pacioretty. He then went and hugged him.

The real controversy now comes from Pacioretty not hugging him back. What the heck! I am sure reporters in Montreal wanted to jump on top of that as fast as they could. Either way, the people of Montreal are in for a fun filled summer, these rumors are going to be flying around for a long, long time.
