Video: Over 28,815 teddy bears hit the ice for Calgary Hitmen goal

A lot of teams do the Teddy Bear Toss, but the Calgary Hitmen and their fans continue to raise the bar. A total of 28,815 plush toys hit the ice in the second period, leading to a lengthy delay in which the players and mascot jumped into the enormous piles of bears.

What an amazing event. Even after seeing this tradition several times, it’s always a heartwarming moment. The Teddy Bear Toss is one example of why hockey and hockey fans are great.
