Welcome to another edition of “Hockey Tweets of the Week”. We pull our favorite tweets from the hockey world every week, and who else is there to feature this week but the leading vote getter for this year’s NHL All Star Game.
John Scott.
WHAT DO WE WANT?
JOHN SCOTT!
WHEN DO WE WANT HIM?
AT THE ALL-STAR GAME

ATTICA! ATTICA! ATTICA!!!
The trick to getting John Scott into the ASG is easy: convince Latvia to help out.

Umm, I think they’re going to be busy stuffing the NBA ballot boxes for Kristaps Porzingis this year.
I wrote a song about John Scott and why you should vote for John Scott. pic.twitter.com/QyJhx7pvtg

And that’s sung to the tune of an Irish Spring soap commercial.
The kids want to see the best players in the ASG? What about John Scott's kids? I bet they just wanna see John Scott play in the ASG #boom
— CorsiHL (@CorsiHL) December 2, 2015
Do you really want to make John Scott’s kids cry?
John Scott: "I talked to my coach. He's kept me out of some games so I'm fresh for ASG… I've been a captain before. I'm a good leader." 😂
— todd leigh offside (@Totally_Offside) December 3, 2015
I want to see a fresh John Scott in the fastest skater competition against Carl Hagelin. While Hagelin is taking a nap on the ice. Chained to the bed.
That’s a toss up.
John Scott voted to ASG reminds me of Winston Churchill: "Best argument against democracy is a 5 min. conversation with the average voter."
— Ken Campbell (@Ken_Campbell27) December 4, 2015
Hey I resemble that remark.
Scott has said that he wouldn’t turn down the opportunity to go, but a gentle giant like John Scott could always have second thoughts.

Is there a back up plan just in case?
@EvgeniMaIkinEgo Yea the league told me I couldn't play but it's just a cover. Ready to lace 'em up and double my career points in one nite
— John Scott (@AllStarJScott) December 3, 2015
Why not get them both in?

Oh that’s why.
The best part about this whole John Scott to the All Star Game thing? It actually started last season!

Dedication and patience win the day.
Jaromir Jagr, On The Other Hand …
… does not want your All Star vote:
Fans-I appreciate your votes for All-Star game, but 3 on 3 would kill me,and i don't want to die yet:)Thank you for understanding. Too old:)
— Jaromir Jagr (@68Jagr) December 2, 2015
You don’t want to be responsible for killing a hockey legend, do you?
Jagr also backs up his assertions with evidence:
1. No, this is not a repeat of Pekka Rinne's save from a few days ago. He robs Jagr this time! #Preds #SixSaves pic.twitter.com/KJvNyDnKXp
— Gregory Balloch (@GregBalloch) December 4, 2015
fans-this is another reason why you shouldn't vote for me for All-Star game.Old and no good :))) thanks God we won https://t.co/7d2bFG7i1J

Aah, screw it. #VoteJagr
The Roberto Luongo Tweet Of The Week:
The goalies were under siege during the shootout portion of last Friday’s Islanders/Panthers games. Nine shots, nine goals. It ended when Luongo made the only save of the shootout to give Florida the victory.

That Luongo had the meme ready to go mere hours after the game is just as impressive as the victory. He’s been slow on the tweets lately but he’s heating up.
What In The World …
MSG’s Al Trautwig and Anson Carter (former Ranger and Capital and King and Bruin and everything else you can think of) had a little trouble getting together on a simple handshake:

Problems in Ottawa
Everything needed to be fixed at Canadian Tire Center on Thursday. First …

Is that a mouse hole? Are mice getting on the ice in Kanata? Is the Senators game going to become a Tom and Jerry cartoon? Because that’s what it looks like. But it was actually a Cody Cici shot that put the hole in the boards. And it led to this great moment in the history of ice sprinting and ladders:

Remember “Battle of the Network Stars”? Because this could have totally been a competition in that. Heather Thomas would have had this event on lock.
And Finally …

If that is the last thing you hear before you go to sleep, I’ve done my job.
Sleep tight.
