Video: Jagr high-sticks Weber, promptly apologizes

Referees are the bane of any athlete’s existence. They are only there to catch you during your sneakiest and most conniving moments. Recently with how fast the game has progressed, refs miss an awful lot of plays so it is up to the players to police themselves.

Such is the case with Jaromir Jagr.

Jagr is an absolute gem, aint he? He owns up to the high stick immediately, lesser players wouldn’t have done what he did in talking with Shea Weber, but then again not everybody is a legend like him. Weber is one intimidating fellow as well, so the hutzpah it took for Jagr to apologize is admirable. Jagr isn’t going to play forever so enjoy him while you can. Or you know, he may just end up playing until he is 70.

Long, live, Jagr.
