Cam Ward has had a tough go in the NHL ever since he won the Stanley Cup. He is currently splitting the starting role with Eddie Lack, a move I am sure doesn’t sit well with him. Luckily for him though he is still getting playing time and from the looks of it, taking advantage of it fully in the play below.
To make it even more impressive is the fact he does it against one of the best scorers in the league in Matt Duchene. Ward’s defensemen hang him out to dry on the play which puts Ward out of position as well. You don’t get to be a starter in this league by only being average athletically.
