Video: Jonathan Quick gives up an embarrassing goal against the Rangers

Jonathan Quick is one of the best goaltenders in the NHL. Despite owning that title, he has given up his fair share of embarrassing goals over the course of his career. LA's game against the New York Rangers on Monday night yielded another unfortunate moment for the goaltender as Ryan McDonagh scored a 174-foot shorthanded goal to give the Rangers a 3-1 victory.

Oh my. Almost every NHL goaltender has had an embarrassing moment, but this one is especially bad. Quick moves out to play the puck and places his stick in an attempt to keep the play in front of him. He loses his stick and the puck appears to hit off of his blocker. With Quick removed from the net, the puck slowly slides over the line much to the dismay of the fans in attendance.

You can't blame this one on a bad bounce or the boards. Quick stumbled, lost his stick and redirected the puck into his own net. Unfortunately, this isn't the first time he's been at the center of a memorable blooper. You'll recall he allowed a long effort against the Phoenix Coyotes during the playoffs back in 2012. When you add in his blunder in the playoffs against St. Louis, Quick is building a resume of bloopers that might soon rival his resume of accomplishments.
