Dustin Byfuglien inexplicably punched Semyon Varlamov in the mask

It's unclear if this is indicative of some discontent left over from both Dustin Byfuglien and Semyon Varlamov's Southeast Division days, or if Buff's trying some pre-Olympic strategizing, but shortly after last night's game winner by Blake Wheeler, the Jets defenseman and the Avalanche goaltender had a moment:

Perhaps Varlamov told Buff impolitely, like so many goaltenders before, to move his giant self. Whatever the reason, it was probably not the first nor the last time Byfuglien's had a goalie stick swung at his backside. If this is pre-Olympic stuff, though, Buff certainly has a long way to go before he becomes David Backes 2.0.
