Columbus will host the 2015 NHL All-Star Game

The NHL has officially announced that the Columbus Blue Jackets will host the 2015 NHL All-Star Game. Columbus was supposed to host the event in 2013, but the event was canceled thanks to the lockout. With there being no All-Star Game in 2014 due to the break for the Olympics, the logical choice was to give Columbus the All-Star Game in 2015. 

Gary Bettman's comments on the announcement:

The only issues that we had to deal with were logistical. Was the convention center going to be available on the dates we needed? Was the hotel space we needed going to be available?


We wanted to come back as quickly as possible. We knew we couldn't do it this year because of the Olympics, so 2015 was the first available date.
